His work combines deep knowledge of historic survey records with modern field methods and careful professional judgment.

Professional Writings & Presentations

Don has written and presented extensively on Maine boundary law, roads and easements, water boundaries, deed interpretation, and the practical rules of retracement. Many of these works were co-authored with Knud E. Hermansen, and the Maine Supreme Judicial Court has cited their work as authoritative.

His professional contributions also include the sketch used in Mabee v. Nordic Aquafarms, Inc., 2023 ME 15, illustrating a complex boundary issue for the court.
